Orbi has a strong R&D base in India, Thailand, and the USA. The stations in India and Thailand cater to breeding vegetable seeds for the Asian markets whereas, the station in the USA focuses on the American and European markets. In USA R&D we do produce and breed organic seeds suitable for the organic producers worldwide. The Bangalore station has a state of art molecular marker and DH facility. In addition, there are three R&D stations in Karnataka equipped with the latest breeding facilities. While recognizing the increasing interest in protected cultivation, the company has launched a strong program on protected cultivation that focuses on sweet peppers, other exotic peppers, melons, watermelons, tomatoes, cucumbers, jalapenos, etc.

Meet Our Team
Our team consists of very experienced seedsmen from India and USA, Dr. Sanjay has been in the seed industry for the last 25 years and has held responsible positions in various companies, Remo Ludergnani and Norma Lundergnani founders of UG and have almost 45 years of experience in the seed industry and he brings vast knowledge of seed production breeding and distribution throughout the world. Dr Remo is well known for his contribution to the seed industry worldwide and his presence and guidance in guiding the company will take Orbi to newer heights very soon.

Established in 2016 by Dr. Sanjay Dwivedi, a professional with more than 25 years of experience in the seed industry, Orbi was founded with a clear vision - to innovate, breed and deliver seeds that respond to the evolving needs of the global farming community.
Research is our strength
At Orbi Seeds, research and development is at the heart of everything we do.
Our R&D stations at Bengaluru in India, Hollister in the USA and Chiang Mai in Thailand focus on the requirements of different global markets.
India and Thailand focus primarily on Asian markets, while the USA station serves American and European markets and also develops and produces organic seeds to support organic farming.

With advanced molecular marker, DH and other breeding facilities, Orbi combines modern science with practical breeding expertise.
Our strong R&D team works on superior hybrids and varieties across major crops including tomato, chilli, brinjal, okra, hot peppers, sweet peppers, melons, watermelons, maize, flowers, cotton, cucumber and gourds.
We also focus on developing product lines for worldwide markets, with special emphasis on processing markets and niche products of heritage importance.
Excellence in Seed Processing
To ensure quality from seed to market, Orbi Seeds has established a dedicated seed processing and packing facility, equipped with advanced systems for testing, sorting, grading, packing and storage—ensuring precision, consistency and quality at every stage. Our well-equipped molecular laboratory strengthens breeding programmes and helps develop new hybrids and combinations faster. A centralised nursery further supports seedling production, completing the journey from advanced breeding to healthy planting material.
Today, Orbi Seeds supplies high-quality seeds to major markets around the world, earning the trust of farmers and partners across the globe.
